Hello  Thankyou for joining the interview with us today

Hello Mumbai News:

Could you Introduce yourself for our readers.

Sangita Chatlani :

Hello, I’m Sangita Chatlani, originally from the United Kingdom and currently residing in India. I’m proud to be an entrepreneur and the director of an NGO here in India. My journey spans across borders, and I’m passionate about making a positive impact through both business and social initiatives.

Hello Mumbai News

What Inspired to start your Business.

Sangita Chatlani :

My business idea sparked when local women knocked on my door seeking employment, coinciding with friends asking for house help. Connecting these dots, I started linking those in need with those seeking work. What began as a small initiative has grown into a fully-fledged business over seven years. I take immense pride in the journey, especially in how it has allowed me to train and provide jobs for tribal women. The satisfaction comes not just from running a successful business, but from knowing that I am making a positive impact on the lives of these women and contributing to better households management.
What Challenges have you faced as a Woman Entrepreneur and how did you overcome them.

I’ve been through so much in my life, a story for another day, but the pain and suffering have shaped me to a point where fear doesn’t exist anymore. It’s a strange realisation, but I think my lack of fear stems from the challenges I’ve faced. Now, I feel a responsibility to help others lead better lives, drawing from my own journey.

All the experiences, the ups and downs, have brought me to where I am today. It’s made me who I am. At this point, I believe the only entity we should be mindful of is God. It’s about gratitude and acknowledging that my experiences, however tough, have been instrumental in my growth.

Sangita Chatlani :

In 2015, we initiated this NGO in the United Kingdom under the leadership of Rashmi Mishra. Over the years, it has flourished successfully, prompting us to extend our impact to India. Two years ago, in 2021, we officially registered the NGO in India under the name “Inspiring Indian Women.” The essence of our organisation is encapsulated in its name – our mission is to inspire and empower women within the Indian community. We strive to create a supportive environment where women uplift and empower one another, fostering confidence and mutual growth.

Hello Mumbai News

Where Does your Inspiration come from.

Sangita Chatlani :

It’s incredible how witnessing greatness and success serves as a powerful motivator, pushing me to strive for even greater achievements. The inspiration derived from those who have succeeded before me fuels my determination to reach new heights.

Hello Mumbai News

What advice would you give to someone who are aspiring Women Entrepreneur

Sangita Chatlani :

I’ve faced numerous setbacks in both life and work, rebuilding from scratch multiple times. To anyone considering new ventures or businesses, I’d emphasise that failure isn’t a roadblock but an opportunity for growth. Each setback is a chance to learn, become stronger, and avoid repeating mistakes. Success often emerges from navigating and learning from these experiences.

Hello Mumbai News

What Women Inspire you.

Sangita Chatlani :

Princess Diana is my inspiration, especially her impactful work with the underprivileged. Her genuine concern for those in need resonates with me, serving as a driving force for the work I’m currently undertaking. The compassion she exhibited has motivated me to contribute to positive change and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Hello Mumbai News

What’is your Future plans for 2024? Where do you see yourself after 1year.

Sangita Chatlani :

In 2024, my focus will be on grassroots efforts in Imphal, working directly with women to enhance social awareness through education initiatives. Additionally, I aim to establish a Transgender Welfare Board for Maharashtra, emphasizing inclusive policies and support structures for the transgender community in the region. These plans reflect my commitment to fostering positive change at both the local and state levels.

I also plan to concentrate on skill development initiatives and the formation of self-help groups for women in Imphal’s slum areas. By empowering them with valuable skills and fostering a sense of community through self-help groups, my aim is to provide these women with the tools to lead independent and supported lives, positively impacting both them and their families.

I’m actively involved in projects with Inspiring Indian Women, an NGO based in the UK. Over the past two years, we have successfully implemented initiatives in India, operating on the ground level to directly impact communities. Our focus is on uplifting society through empowering Indian women. Looking ahead, we aspire to launch additional projects aimed at providing knowledge and creative education to people, particularly women in slum areas. By working at the grassroots level, we aim to facilitate positive transformations, enabling individuals to lead fulfilling lives for themselves and their families.

In the coming year, my primary goal is to double the achievements of this year, particularly in my current business—a domestic help agency. This business focuses on recruiting and training tribal area women from across India, providing them with education and employment opportunities. I aim to enhance and expand this initiative, ensuring its sustained success. By excelling in this venture, I hope to positively impact more lives and contribute to the economic empowerment of women in tribal areas.

In the upcoming year, I plan to contribute to the improvement of international relations involving India. Leveraging my established international contacts, I aim to foster collaborations and facilitate connections that can enhance the global standing of India. Through strategic engagement and leveraging relationships, I hope to play a role in promoting the mutual benefit and cooperation between India and other nations.
