Mrs. Surekha Hanumant Bhosale: A journey of ambition, perseverance, activism and dreams.
Born in Satara district Koregaon, Surekha Bhosale tried to find herself in the journey of childhood, youth and marriage. The ambition, which was suppressed by circumstances and tradition, began to take root due to the support given by her husband.
She started her business with a single computer in 2002 by doing from Rs. 5 Typing and DTP work at home. She worked day and night to establish her identity. Within a few days, she expanded her business in the form of computer classes. Success in business is due to hard work and God’s grace.
Due to work stress and negligence towards health, she was diagnosed with blood-related disease ITP. Even when there is no cure for this disease in which the platelets in the blood are depleted, she still works twelve to fourteen hours a day with the strength of indomitable will.
With hard work and God’s grace, she succeeded in her business. The business, which started with a computer, had four centres and a staff of thirty-four people in 2011. Every year more than fifteen hundred students take training from the centre. While she was progressing in the business, Goldman Sachs offered her the opportunity to pursue higher education, and she completed her higher education at the Indian School of Business. Hyderabad.
In 2012, the impact of digital transformation began to be felt in the academic IT sector. The consecutive years from 2012 to 2015 were testing years. Undeterred, she faced numerous adversities. In 2015-16, she had the opportunity to work with NSDC and MSSDS in the Skill India project under the Skill Development Scheme. She imparted training of various skill development courses in the IT sector to more than 1000 students and also provided employment to 80 per cent of the students.
Keeping in mind the changes in the market and the industry, she set up a digital marketing and web development company called Globreach in 2018. Through this company, she launched services for digital branding for small entrepreneurs. The services also included accounting and HR to help delegation. For this purpose, we decided to create a digital ecosystem. A team of 15 people was built in one year. In doing so, it properly dealt with the consequences of demonetisation as well as GST changes and kept the business afloat.
She set up a new centre on March 11, 2019, at Virar. But suddenly, on March 15, there was an outbreak of covid-19 in India. Within a few days, the lockdown was announced on March 18. But without hesitation, they activated their digital ecosystem and added all their staff to the work-from-home opportunity from March 19. Faced with a crisis like covid-19, she paid full salary to all the staff.
According to her, the covid-19 got a job break which is why they succeeded in bringing their digital ecosystem into full existence.
In just ten months, she took a bold decision to close down two branches of Virar, as well as the office of an IT company. Not only that, but to meet the norms of Skill India Center, she revamped two centres as per the new regulations.
Meanwhile, the concept of the franchise model came into existence and they succeeded in giving the first franchise during the Covid-19 period.
The digital ecosystem came in to existence with 6 digital web portals.
The first online IT skills course was launched all over India on 4th April 2020 by launching the first Hrishi Online Buddhi Portal. At the same time, the Employable Market Job Portal was set up for providing Jobs.
It was in this covid period, she created “My Career Gurukul and Hrishi Blog Buddhi Portal” to provide career counselling and guidance to students and entrepreneurs.
She launched her profile card portal to help students and entrepreneurs in branding.
To create all this into reality, she took a loan of nearly forty lakhs but did not step back.
Centres have reopened today, many people across India are getting ecosystem services through a digital medium.
Today, the business started by a single computer has three centres and its ecosystem has spread all over India. More than 36000 students from this institute are undergoing skill training and a team of thirty-five people is working with her
In addition to business, they have their own social commitment. She is a member of the Lions Club of Vasai Unique and conducts free career guidance camps for 10th and 12th class students every year.
Her Hrishi Computer Education has received Best Center Award from MKCL, MCED, Tally, and District Industries Center for skill development. Till date, she has won nearly thirteen awards.
In short, today their dream of a digital ecosystem has come true and this digital ecosystem is today equipped with 6 digital web portals to serve society. Good luck to them for their successful journey ahead.
Expressing her thoughts, she says,
I have always felt that to be successful, you need a system with the right guidance and help with the Career Journey ahead. The bold decisions made in Covid-19 made it possible that the digital ecosystem planned on paper has successfully emerged through six portals and students and parents are taking advantage of it.
I am forever indebted to my husband Hanumant Bhosale for helping me step by step in taking this great leap. Also, my father and father-in-law encouraged me by helping me whenever I needed capital. I am forever indebted to them and I thank you to my team for making this dream come true by helping me get here by accepting responsibilities from time to time. Also, I have received guidance from time to time from my Mentors in this process and also I would like to thank all those who have given me educational opportunities, especially to Skill India and other institutions.
