Mumbai: Mumbaikars, how are you carrying a city like Mumbai with you during this lockdown !!
Read this beautiful poem by Ayushi Kedia dedicating to “Mumbaikars”
During this lockdown, how are you carrying a place, “Mumbai” with you?
MUMBAI, a city which never used to sleep,
But, now this pandemic, You pack it in your memory
The 200 bucks of dress from ‘Colaba causeway’
The shopping from streets like ‘Hill road and Linking road’
The ‘Gateway of India’ from famous tourist attraction
The Dargah of ‘Haji Ali’
The Falooda from ‘Girgoan Chowpatty’
The Dry fruit Motichor Prasad from ‘Siddhi Vinayak Mandir’
The earphones of every ‘Local Station’
The hustle of ‘Local Trains’
“Mumbaikars”, do you remember it?
The Morning walk near the ‘Beaches’
The Vada pav with Chai from any ‘Tapri’
The Garden of ‘Victoria and Hanging’
The Idli, Medu vada with chutney of ‘Anna dosa’
The glamour of ‘South Bombay’
The hurry of catching ‘Local Trains’
The soothing ‘Mumbai Rains’
The 5th ‘AutoWala’ that rejects you on your face
“Mumbaikars”, do you feel it?
You eat a good plate of Pav Bhaji with Sev puri at ‘Juhu’
You eat a ripen ‘CORN’ of Mumbai, Ahhhhha mouth watering
You feel a hot ‘Summer Afternoon’ with a pleasant evening
You plan to visit ‘Marine Drive’ every weekend with your friends
You hear the word ‘MUMBAIKARS’
