A massive blaze engulfed few shops at the Fashion Street in South Mumbai’s Churchgate area on Saturday, November 5 at 9.20 am which is a peak time of office goers.

The firefighters immediately rushed to the spot and managed to douse the fire; however, few shops were gutted in the incident.

As per BMC, no sooner they received information on the blaze at Fashion Street fire tenders were immediately sent to the fire spot.

However, Mumbai Traffic Police reveals that Fashion Street remains shut temporarily for traffic till the situation is brought under control, Visuals show thick black smoke emanating from the Fashion Street area due to the fire that engulfed several shops there.

It is pertinent to mention that Fashion Street very popularly refers to a cluster of street-side clothing shops on the MG road near Azad Maidan in South Mumbai.
