Second Edition of Nowruz Football Cup and the iftar party of Iranians living in Mumbai held at Mumbai’s Iconic Islam Gymkhana in South Mumbai

Nowroz Cup played for 2 days in which 8  teams participated and each team had 6 players, each team played 3 matches in the first round.The 1st day competitions started at 8pm after the Iftar reception on the 22nd and 24th of march 2024 .
With the arrival of the new year and also the holy month of Ramadan, with the efforts of the Culture House of the Islamic Republic of Iran mumbai and with the participation of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, Islamic Republic of Iran Airlines “Homa” and other Iranian institutions located in Mumbai and other institutions and clubs Those interested in the Nowruz Cup football match at Islam Gymkhana (Islamic Sports and Cultural Club of Mumbai) with the presence of Mr. Rezaei Eskandari, the Acting consul general Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, Mohammad Reza Fazel Cultural Attaché and Director of the Culture House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai and members of related institutions and bodies. Iftar reception on the first day was organised by the Culture House of the Islamic Republic of Iran, mumbai which was well done. In this ceremony, Mr. Rezaei Eskandari, Acting consul Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, while congratulating on the arrival of the New Year and the holy month of Ramadan and thanking to the Culture House of the Islamic Republic of Iran for holding this program, spoke about the importance of keeping Iranian ceremonies such as Nowruz alive. which keeps the identity of Iranians alive and makes the new generation of Iranians living abroad get to know the roots of their mother country more. In the continuation of his speech, while listing Nowruz as an intangible world heritage, he added: Nowruz is a celebration for all nations in the direction of peace, and the Indian government also supported this celebration as an intangible world heritage and showed that the relations between India and Iran It has roots in ancient history.


The second day of the competition continued with the iftar ceremony organized by the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran mumbai.
and the football competition continued on 2nd day the four teams that qualified for the semi final round. Norooz Cup 2024, Final played between Iranian Consulate vs Bitcoin Lounge, at Islam Gymkhana Grounds After the end of the competition, the winners were honored with trophies and cash prizes.
