Mumbai: India is on the cliff ’s edge of an imminent downgrade in the backdrop of Coronavirus  outbreak and lockdowns that have derailed fiscal discipline and are biting into growth. Many people including the poor and needy are placed in dire straits with no money for food. Many NGos and Socio-Cultural organisations have been doing selfless service in distribution of food and essential commodities.

Some charitable institutions ventured into charitable activities during lockdown between 20th March to 3rd May 2020..

Pushp Hari Mirchandani Trust have been arranging 200 Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Tea & Dinner for Medical Staff working overtime & Donation of N 95 Masks & other facilities at Cooper Hospital, Ville Parle West. The organisation has also distributed Anaj ration to approx 150 persons (including specially widows ) at Anand Nagar Slums and J.B.Nagar ( Poor Families and Daily wages persons )

Similarly, Senior’s Paradise Foundation, have distributed Food, Food, Khichdi to more than 15,000 poor persons at Slums around JB Nagar, Chakala, Cigaratte Factory & Sakinaka , Kurla Chandivalli etc
Food, Khichdi distribution to 450 underprivileged cancer patients and attendants at Shraddha Foundation Shelter Home for Cancer patients.(One week).
They have also been serving Food –Puri Bhaji to more than 2000 underprivileged in Slums in Marol Pipe Line Slums Anaaj Daan, Ration to more than 50 under privileged persons in need, Dog Food to Stray Dogs.

Likewise Lions Club of ( Bombay) Sea Side West, known to rise to deserving causes, embarked into distribution of Ration Packs to 75 poor persons at Anand Nagar Slums , Oshiwara ,Andheri West : Courtesy – Paropkar

Lions Club of Dahisar, have been serving Food –Khichdi to more than 100 persons at Slums surrounding J.B.Nagar

Sri Subhash Tikiya Family, distributed Ration Packs to 50 needy society watchmen and other workers at Juhu.

Senior Paradise Foundation and
Pushp Hari Mirchandani Trust are
to continue with variety food distribution from 4th May to 18th May(presently stands confirmed).
They are trying for more service activities.

The NGos feel blessed by God and thankful to get an opportunity to serve the needy at this critical hour of Corona crises with the support of associate organisations & philanthropist friends who trusted them for this noble work and reach out to so many persons .Also grateful to selfless volunteers team who are truly Corona Warriors and went out daring and with all passion to serve in various areas.

Sudhir Mangar (Brief Introduction) :

Born in 1952, Sudhir Mangar, hails from the religious city of Allahabad in India .He is a first class graduate and MBA who left a growing executive career and came to Mumbai in 1980 to pursue his creative interests. Having organised more than 2000 Events of various categories including plays and ballets he has travelled across India and several countries. He is known popularly for his book of Hindi poems “SACH”, his stage play “Kabootar Khana “ and as a short Film maker on social subjects like “Quit Smoking” “Mentally Challenged Children” and “Gowshala” besides Biography Films and Advertisement Films. He is passionately bent towards social & charitable causes and is associated with number of leading organisations in like Lions International, Rotary International, Pushp-Hari Mirchandani Trust, Senior’s Paradise Foundation Shraddha Foundation, Sashi Mangalyam School for Mentally Challenged children, and also with several philanthropist personalities with whose support he contributes his quality time and efforts selflessly doing large number of charitable activities regularly .Presently as a writer and director he is busy writing several books, biographies of eminent persons and making short films on some more NGO subjects and believes in living on the principle that every small effort can help our society to grow and make our country shine on the map of the world.
Needless to emphasise that although being a senior citizen and most of the time confined within his room during the lockdown period, he has successfully organised & coordinated activities to help more than 15,000 poor by now during Corona Crises , right from Corona Warrior Doctors to Food for poor in slums and even feeding the stray animals on road. His efforts are still on even in the 3rd lockdown period and says “I will carry on my God blessed charitable duties until my last breadth”.
