The BMC Elections are prestigious for both Sena and BJP, for the Sena to retain its hold over the BMC and for BJP because it has made CM Devendra Fadnavis the face of its high profile campaign.
In the 2012 civic polls, the overall average voter turnout of the city was 44.75% but this time it increased 55% which is a good sign and also indicates some political changes in the state.
“This time Mumbaikars want corruption free Bmc and good governance that’s why the voter’s turnout in a large number they have fed up with the false promises now they want result”, Said Ashish Shelar City president of BJP.
MNSchief Raaj Thackeray also cast the vote with his family members at Dadar. Shiv Sena working president Udhav Thackeray, Wife Rashmi Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray cast their votes at Bandra Poling booth in the morning.
All political party leaders well come to the increase percentage of the voting this year.
