African Things is a company that specializes in the production of African inspired products. The company’s products are made from various materials such as Asoke fabric and Ankara. African Things aims to change the negative image associated with African manufacture and be a symbol for high quality products while empowering Africans.
Due to the westernization of our culture and heritage, young people are losing touch with our traditions and heritage. This is why African Things was created to bridge the gap between our culture and westernization.

Before she founded African Things, Tosin worked as the design executive at The Chair Centre, where she helped develop new furniture designs and elevate their marketing.
She started African Things to promote African culture and design in the everyday lives of her customers. After studying abroad, she saw how foreigners saw African people as poor and backward. This motivated her to create products that cater to both local and international markets.
