Mumbai: Massive Fire in Slum of Dana Bunder next to Masjid Bunder East, more than five injured

A fire broke out in the slums of Narsi Natha Street in Masjid Bunder east locality on Monday evening.

Two children have been reported to be injured. 12 fire engines and more than 12 fire brigade officers rushed to the spot and engaged for the rescue operation .

 

According to the information by fire control the fire reportedly broke out at around 6:10 pm and spread over about 17 hutments in the area.

The fire has disrupted local train services in Central and Harbour lines after fire affected few homes adjacent to the railway tracks.

The railway services were resumed shortly after the situation was brought under control. The 12-year-old and 13-year-old boys who suffered burn injuries have been rushed to a nearby J.J hospital. Local train services were affected due to this incident for some time but after that resumed as usual.
