Mumbai: Mumbai BJP Corporator Priti Satam comes forward to support lockdown affected people in Ward No 52

Mumbai: Priti Satam, is a dynamic and combative Corporator from Ward No.52, Goregaon East. She is belligerently handling the lockdown situation in her ward.

Like many other institutions and NGos etc., coming forward to help the poor and needy in the lockdown period, Priti shared her views on her work for a noble and deserving cause.

In an interview with ‘Hello Mumbai News ‘ over phone , she said , ‘ no sooner we heard of the official declaration of the lockdown by our Government, right from the very next day, we plunged into work in our ward with our party workers.

“At first, we sanitised the area that included all public toilet. We have been distributing food to 1500 poor and needy people and milk powder among 500 people.

Our area is 50% slum dominated and we have been distributing food grain and grocery in Aarey Coloney Goregaon, Shivajipada and in other areas as well. .We have also started covid help line service. On hearing about a covid patient, we immediately rushed to the location and managed everything from quarantine to medical help. We are also into supporting and helping migrant labourers in their documentation Centre”.

“As of now in my ward there is report of four covid positive patients, however, no casualty has been reported as yet”

She further makes it known , “our work has now become very risky and no safety measures for us and our party workers. Nevertheless, we are doing our level best and people from Gokuldham and adjoining areas are supporting us in the ongoing lockdown”.

It’s my appeal to all to STAY HOME STAY SAFE and follow the lockdown norms.

“With pride, we say that we are working 24×7 for the people as we believe in working for the people”.
